Participation in the “Remediation of historically contaminated sites in Sarkandaugava” project

The Sarkandaugava area was historically used for storage and transshipment of oil products. The part of Sarkandaugava’s area which is included into the territory of the Riga port was contaminated during the previous 50 years of the twentieth century, when soviet army’s oil products warehouses and terminals were built in Jaunmilgravis district.

Monitoring of benzene concentration in the atmosphere

Being conscious about the environment and in order to comply with the environmental legislation Woodison Terminal has taken several steps that enabled us to monitor benzene concentration in the atmosphere and take actions in order to minimize emissions when necessary.

Woodison Terminal’s corporate operations in the Free Port of Riga are associated with the transshipment and storage of various kinds of light oil products as well as with blending of fuel before dispatching to vessels.
